1st Year Class Presidents Andrew O'Connell & Winsor Smith were greeted by U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren at this year's South Boston St. Patrick's Day Breakfast. It was a point of pride when 1st year Class President Andrew O'Connell, stood as he and his fellow veterans were honored by the entire gathering of Boston's political elite. Andrew O'Connell came to Local 537 thru his Military Service and our Veterans in Piping program.

Brian Palmucci recently announced he will be seeking a third term for City Council Ward Four, City of Quincy. Councilor Palmucci has been a special friend of Local 537 and the proud Union families of Quincy. As a former Union steward and one who has grown up in a Union household, Brian has been a strong advocate for the middle class and the members of the building trades residing in his Ward and in this Commonwealth. Pipefitters Association Local Union 537 proudly endorse his re-election.
